Win rate measurement for mix games

Really not sure where to post this, so I'll post it here... (I can't see a "mixed game" forum).
We measure NL games by BB/100, or by buyins.
We measure FL games by big bets.
How should one measure a mixed game (ie 8-game on Stars)?
Buyins, as they are capped at a certain level?
For example, playing a few tables of 20c/40c 8-game, I end up net +$30. I'm up 75 bb's, but not really as the limits are different in the different games. Safe to say I'm up three buyins, as it's a $10 cap.
No real difference at the end of the day, just curious what the standard might be.
