Why can't I focus when I'm playing poker online? ESPECIALLY 9 handed tables... they get sooo boring. When I sit down and focus, I get really great results, but I'm unable to do this for over 45-60 minutes. How can I be able to focus for 5+ hours?

story of my life. i usually play about 40-50 minute sessions these days, about 3-4 times a day. try playing 6max or HU? time flys when u play HU.
I've tried meditating. I can't even meditate for 5 min, so yea. I think I pretty much just have a short attention span, and need to be constantly bombarded with some sort of stimulus, similar to MANY kids in North America these days.. That will have to change, I can't even take a **** without listening to music, because I get bored sitting on the toilet doing nothing.
go pro in starcraft 2 instead. nah but really, a lot of people have this problem including myself. grinding in poker isn't hard at all but learning how to grind is. if that makes any sense.
start out doing 45 minutes and slowly build up from there. try to go over an hour the next session and so on. you have to push yourself and actually force yourself to go longer.
you have to build mental toughness kind of like the same way you build physical toughness. gotta work at it.
