Where do you draw the line between limping behind others or iso-raising with marginal hands?

This is a common situation that I've encountered in my micro NL FULL RING games. You are in hijack/co/button with a very marginal hand such as low suited connectors, single/double suited gappers, and low pocket pairs (22-66). Two players before you open limps into the pot. What is the proper play here? When do you consider limping behind versus isolation raising and why?
In another example, you are holding the same range of marginal cards. However, there is only one player that has open limped into the pot. Is isolation raising in this situation more proper? Would you ever consider limping behind?
I am currently playing 10nl FR right now and it is very common to see 2+ players limping into the pot while I'm holding 66's or 88's on the button.
I also realize that the concept of isolation raising at this limit maybe a little bit unnecessary (maybe even spewy) as it is very common to see the blinds overcalling your isolation raise. I also think that isolation raising has a lot more value at 25nl and 50nl due to the players being a bit more competent. I could be wrong though.
Anyways.. what's your opinion on this?

stack sizes and player types are important imo,
too general sorry
in 6max this is a raise 100% vrs 100bb deep players, vrs SS i still raise 66+,
also, we are raising for value here!
the only hands im ok with lim[ing behind limpers is low SC as these hands play well multiway, or 22-33 because its cheap to see a pot with a hand thats super easy to play post flop, miss your set, give up, hit ur set, stack someones 2pr type
hands like a6, k9, q-7, its a raise to isolate you and him, with you in position, your not really wanting multiway here as you can isolate him and then cbet to take it down when he misses

Yeah, I've been pondering this late as well.
I'll have a fish on my right, who limps. I have a speculative hand in late position, but have a reg or two to my left (either B or blinds). I would like to limp along with my speculative hand, but I know that one of the regs is going to raise it up. So, lately, I've been putting in the raise, both to isolate, and to take the initiative away from the regs.
I play 6max micro or small stakes.
more thoughts on this?

With small pairs I'm more likely to see a 3-4way flop (and suited aces), suited connectors not so much as you run a risk of running into a bigger flush or a straight. If it's going to be multiway with half stacks, I'll limp behind. If full stacks, then I raise. Against a single limper, it's pretty much always a raise, unless he's a shortstack, in which case I fold small SC's.
