When To Play LAG or TAG? When To Play LAG or TAG?

I can play a good TAG game. At least at micro and low stakes tourneys.

I'm trying to experiment and appropriately incorporate some LAG into my playing, since TAG can make me pretty predictable. If my table image is Tight and Aggressive, the range of what I have in my hand is going to be pretty obvious.

I want to learn when to play Loose and Aggressive and do a little more fishing and be unpredictable and relentless.

What are some good guidelines on when to switch back and forth between them?

I try and do it randomly and maybe that in itself is good to keep me from being predictable. But maybe not. I don't know.

Loose and Aggressive is something I'd like to experiment on.

Play more speculative hands and avoid easily dominated ones. Use your image or stack (in a tourney) to push people off their hands, but only do so if you put the villain on a hand that he can part with (some people will never fold top pair).

The truth is your hand ranges are pretty obvious to some players an not obvious at all to others. So, if you raise under the gun in a 10NL full-ring game, someone in the small blind my call 100% of the time with a hand as weak as king-ten offsuit or worse. Even though it may be obvious to YOU that such calls lead to bad situations involving high reverse implied odds, check-folding missed flops out of position, undisguised overcards that won't usually get paid off went they flop big, etc....it may not be obvious to HIM.

Play tight, value bet like a mofo, and see who picks up on your 'obvious' tactics in the micros.
