I have always been playing online poker ever since I started. I didn't start playing live until like 2 months ago. Going to tournaments and cash games. I know that there can be drama between players and I get sick of it. Sometimes people may start **** with me. I just tell them them that there nothing and see if they want to play heads up. Then they don't say anything. The last time I played live there was 2 guys arguing over there hand when 1 guy went all in. Someone on my table called the guy who runs the tournament to come over and he says "no I'm not coming over there" then they kept fighting and one guy flipped over the table and left. Even before that there was a guy next to me that smelled. The guy that runs the tournament seems like a dick since he didn't do anything. There's been other times that made me want to go back playing online full time again. You can watch a football or baseball game. Watch a movie or listen to music. So do you like playing online better then live? What would you say to that guy who was in charge of the tournament? He didn't do anything to those 2 guys.

I wouldn't play that tournament again. Ever.

As for live v online, well, get used to that nonsense live, though find a better place to play, preferably a casino where they won't tolerate that kind of nonsense.

+9001. A random back-alley bar shouldn't tolerate that kind of nonsense, let alone a casino. (Maybe you meant "a casino, since casinos don't tolerate that kind of nonsense"... either way, you get the point )

It sounds like you were playing free bar-league poker. This kind of crap doesn't happen in a professional place.

I find live poker 1000X more fun and exhilarating. The feeling of anticipation I get when I'm about to play live and while I'm playing live just doesn't compare to online. Online poker is basically emotionless for me and live poker makes me feel alive more than almost anything else I've experienced. The feeling of looking at real cards, having real chips to shuffle and accumulate, and real people around just doesn't compare to the sterile online environment. If I had the BR I would be playing live everyday but I'm stuck playing micro stakes online yay!

Online play benefits players who take a sound mathematical approach to the game since most are multi-tabling and playing over 1000 hands a session.

Live play is more of a situational game. You have to play the opponents tendencies more since you only see 30 hands an hour. Also, players are a bit looser live because of that very reason that there are so few hands. The game is usually easy to beat if you're running hot .. but when you run cold live .. you run really cold. And when that happens.. you have to mix up your game to win small pots and balance your range.

That's why it's much easier to grind out a living online if you follow a solid mathematical approach to the game. Since you might see 2000 hands in a single session, it makes sense to play only the premium cards because in that span of hands you're bound to be dealt 1010 ++ many times. I've gone days playing live poker without seeing AA or KK .. it's really annoying actually.

There are SO many more benefits to playing online over live for the game itself. The only thing that online play doesn't provide for us are back massages and tableside food. No rakeback, less hands, less variety of games, no sit n gos, no major MTT's going on at all times ... live sucks

I miss online poker.
