I get caught in situations like this quite a bit. Not sure if I should be gambling or not. Any advice?

Well the thing is. I've heard that i should be 3betting like 2.5x usually OOP so thats what i did but i'm not sure.

Please assume that I haven't had much history. And I do not use HUD so i can't give you X/X on him. Sorry.

3-betting 2.5 especially OOP is AWFUL. You probably misunderstood, 2.5x OOP is a 4bet-size.

OOP 3bet like 3.5-3.8, IP a bit less.

And yeah obv. get it in, I mean it's 5NL, people spazz out with some random stuff at those stakes.

this. folding to the 4bet is just too weak imo.

its not spewy if villan is loose, did u have any reads? i.e. do u use a HUD

I'd get it in just because it's 5NL and villain might show up (from what I remember) with AQ or KQ type hands that we crush.

well as stated above I don't use a HUD and I haven't really seen this villian play too many hands yet.

Flop: ($10.39) 5 6 3

Turn: ($10.39) 6

River: ($10.39) 3

Spoiler:
Final Pot: $10.39
Hero shows Kh As (two pair, Sixes and Threes)
CO shows Ah Ac (two pair, Aces and Sixes)

Anyways that's how the hand played out. I honestly at the time thought I got it in pretty good. What is the probability of a hand like this occurring?

There's very little you can do to avoid this outcome 4 handed. Shrug it off. Bankrolls are here for a reason.
