With no reads/info this looks like a good fold to me.

Just unfortunate if later you find out he's a complete poker idiot who just likes to push around a few dollars at 5NL.

he either flopped a set or has the flush draw. i'd have folded too probably.

calling all ins with top pair is usually a losing proposition unless you have a good read.

Why would he shove with a set? I'm probably calling this.

But then again, if he's decent enough he could shove with a set to represent a flush draw and get hands like yours to call..

But this is 5NL, i'd still call.

i suppose a fold is probably correct since its such an overbet, but if you have any read that this player might lean towards the moronic side you might want to reconsider...his line obviously doesn't make much sense. why would he do this with a set? most people at these limits don't raise with flush draws, they call down. only thing you are really worried about is 48.8q.4q, aa,kk all of which are in his range

For the same reason they will limp call Ace Rag, play any suited cards call down pot sized bets with bare overcards...Because they are donks. Calling huge overbets with one pair hands regularly at uNL is definately not recommend, the logic behind it is often 'I have a big hand so i must bet BIG!' You will also regularly see donkeys calling huge over bets with far less than TPTK, so he is probably hoping you are one of these donks.

Even against a 60VPIP maniac, without any history that he is capable of shoving like a donkey with worse hands than TPTK, i'm not calling.

because its microstakes, because he is scared of the flush, because he believes he can get called by AQ.

I fold, folding to a flush draw is a smaller mistake than calling and being up against a set.

Dont go broke with 1 pr

By the way in normal situations if he has a flush draw you're supposed to call but not on this situation. The pot has $1.45 after your raise and you have to call another $4.20. Its just a terrible price you're getting. So a fold here is good.

What does this mean? If we know he has a flush draw here, we should call so fast it would make the villain's head spin. We'd be somethign like a 70/30 favorite.

Oh, good fold OP.
