both pretty important but i think stack sizes are more important b/c they dictate how u should play your hand not necessarily the strength of your hand.

Asking if making +EV plays is important is basically asking if it's important to make winning plays.

Answer should be pretty clear.

Ok, it's virtually there. Every move could be evaluated as EV+ or EV-... it's just not that important for decision making in tournaments.

Yes it is important. You definitely want to realize whether there is EV in making a bet based on how often they fold if you're bluffing, or how often they call with worse if you are vbetting, juxtaposed with how often they bluff if you check and call. Even if you don't think of the word EV, that's exactly what it is. Any time you think about what play is better, you are thinking of EV.

EV is just a word that describes this thing you think about, called "value".

I see your point. Your explanation is different to what I've read and what has been refered to as EV. I like it.
