Are there any slow decision timer, free, online poker apps? Are there any slow decision timer, free, online poker apps?

When I say free I mean not for real money.

I am just getting back into poker after years of not playing and want to work on getting down outs, pot odds, pot equity etc. I don't need a million years, but also having more than 15 - 30 seconds would be nice. I can't seem to find any app that gives you that kind of time to make a decision.

Would rather not learn this with real money, hence why I am wondering about free apps.

Thanks!

The problem with play money is that you will be playing a Bingo Game more than a poker game.

$100 gets you 10 buy ins at 5¢/10¢on Global. You can always tap/click on the more time button. Yes you will still play against people that act no different than if they were using play money. But IMHO it's still better than a play money game.

Much of what you can learn at play-money tables cannot be applied to real-money games.

Several sites offer 1c/2c games where a full stack costs as little as $2. Even though you're playing for pennies, it makes a difference psychologically. People's attitudes towards the game are markedly different.

Lastly, let's not forget that as soon as you move beyond 1c/2c (or maybe beyond 2c/5c), you're gonna have some players from developing countries to whom the money at stake is non-trivial.

Unless you're a minor not allowed to gamble, I strongly recommend you make a real-money deposit.

And if you feel you can't make decisions fast enough for a play-money table, maybe that's an indication you should study more. Read a poker book. Watch free training videos on YT. Enable the saving of hand histories in your poker client and analyze hands afterwards.

I disagree with all the commenters here I think that playing for play money is not that different. Especiakly if you play tournaments. People will have wider opening ranges but play money is extremely useful and the practice can for sure help you.

I know Igniton has a play money version, same with WSOP. WSOP mobile app is fast but I think desktop is better.

If you really want to improve, get a Solver and start playing that way. Give a range to all opponents and let the Solver randomly deal it out and not show you. I think WPTtour.com also has a good GTO betting statistics game where it gives you scenarios too.

2 years later......How did you even find this thread? Typical GTO preacher will even preach GTO to the dead!
