Not sure how much I will be on this forum between now and new year so I just wanted to say Thanks to all the regular posters here for their help and contributions for us newbies.
I have liked poker for years but only played occasionally. Maybe deposting $100 three or four times over the last five years and losing it having a bit of fun.
But in January 2012 I deposited $100 and for some reason I started googling poker strategy and ended up signing up to 2+2.
I haven't deposited since. I have only played 2nl and 5nl FR but I have done something I have never done before I won (only small but I won). I have won about $300 @ 2nl, $200 @ 5nl plus another $200 or so in bonuses.
Now that is not a brag because that is over 250000 hands so its not great but it beats losing $100 here and there like I had done before.
I bought two books this year which I would recommend to any beginner here,
Blackrain79's Crushing The Microstakes and Verneers - Building a Bankroll.
Them and the COTW's have been brilliant for me. The fact that the authors of these books and other winning players still post in BQ from time to time to help us newbies is very honourable imo.
So anyway just wanted to say Thanks to all the regulars here who have helped us newer players.
I too would like to thank everyone for their help. I don't have the tangible results Declan has to back up my success but I've definitely improved over the past year thanks to many here.
