a 3-bet is to, you bet, they raise, then you reraise correct???

Also I read about people "double barreling" or "triple-barreling" the turn or river or something...

What exactly do these terms mean?

Also check raising? how do you raise if you check? or does the term check-raise mean to you check and they raise then you call their raise?

A 3 bet, is when someone raises and you reraise. There are 3 bets, the blind, the raise and the re-raise.

An example of a double barrel is when you cbet or bluff on the flop and get called and you fire another another bet on the turn, making it a double barrel bluff

A check raise is when you are OOP and check to another player to show weakness in the hope they will bet out and you then reraise them.

A 3-bet is a re-raise, meaning there is a bet, a raise, and then a re-raise. You'll hear and read about 3-betting before the flop mostly, since it becomes so common preflop. Preflop you count the big blind as a bet, so that's why we say you can call or raise preflop, meaning raise the big blind. Then a 3-bet is re-raising that bet. A 4-bet is just re-raising that bet, and it continues on and on but usually you only see 3-betting, sometimes 4-betting.

Double barreling is a term used when you have raised preflop and bet the flop and bet the turn. A triple barrel bets the river as well.

Check-raising is when you check with the intention of letting one or more opponents bet and then raising this bet.

That's the basic idea behind your questions. Now you know what the terms mean, you can begin the much longer and harder process of learning the theory behind them.

A 3-bet is a reraise. The blind counts as the first bet. A raise of this blind would be the second bet and the next raise would be the "3-bet".

Double barreling means to make a bet on the turn following a continuation bet on the flop. Let's say you raised preflop and got a caller. Then on the flop you made a continuation bet and you were called again. The turn comes and you bet again - this is the "double barrel". If you get called again - you may triple barrel by betting after the river card comes.

A check raise occurs if you check, they bet, and then you raise their bet.
