Hi guys, i've been playing poker for about 5 years but never very seriously, just down the pub and occasionally online, but this year i'm trying to take the game seriously as i'm fed up of re-depositing! My biggest win so far is a $10 Freezout for $700 but I know that was more luck than actually playing well.

I think my main problem is that I can't put the theory stuff into practice and I really think it would help if there was a group of us to talk about things we are doing right and wrong and what we could improve on.
I'm from Worcester in the UK, originally from Stafford.
Is there anyone about that would be willing to improve their game this way and have a few of us to talk things through?

I do believe there is a thread designated specifically for study groups, however, don't quote me on that. I think this is a great idea for many of us beginners and would be something I'd definitely partake in. I need to wait until my first paycheck so I can buy PT3 and have stats and hand histories before I could join in on the study group, but after that I'm all in.

Hey, yeah I need to invest in PT or Hold Em Manager or some kind of software, but it's trying to afford it on top of living costs!

Maybe even before we get any kind of software just relaying hands over email or some kind of IM would help to start with!

Uhhh... is "detrimental" what you really mean?

Maybe not detrimental lol but I feel like all of that stuff is necesarry to play with opponents who are familiar with those things, otherwise you would just get assraped all the time lol
