Hey there, I am just wondering if there have been any threads that specifically focus on good vs. bad note taking.

If there aren't, any and all advice would be quite appreciated. I want to get the most out of my notes, but feel like what I put i them is often trite.

here's one about taking notes

as long as you find your notes helpful then it doesn;t matter what you note down. personally (when i can be arsed to take notes) i let my hud identify the player type, and just note down specific plays a villain might make

I haven't taken notes since I started playing Micro's. I was taking notes when I was playing 25NL.

When I do it usually just basic things like fold to 3 bet. bets with weak Ace,and draws, Tries to bluff when missed draw,,,etc.

i will color code my notes ie: pink or neon blue for short stackers, green for loose pasive, red for tight regs that are good, orange for tight regs that suck, yellow for tricky players ect. it shows up in lobby when you look for a good table green will show up. as far as notes i put a header on mine so i know how old the last time i saw him was ie: 10nl dec09 full ring. then my notes on certian plays the player likes to do. slow playing sets, check raising flop or tun, allin w draws,cold calls raises with ace rag ect. that way i know if i run into this player 4 months later at 25nl i know were i played him,when i played him and what were some patterns he had.
