If you're reading this OP - just an FYI you need 2 suited cards in the hole to make a flush. Just to save you from shoving the A on to the river on a 4 suited board and then asking why you lost with nut flush.

lol first time I played PLO I didnt know the two card rule, lets just say it was not a pretty sight when my single Q flush lost to a 7 high flush lol

I shouldve won with a straight but it says my opponent won with 2pair? is fulltilt gimp? please help
omaha is 3 best community cards + your 2 best cards

you have KK35 and board got Q A 5 T J

you have best KK and board best A Q J.. you hit pair of K only.

let's say for flush...

you have Kh Kc 3c 5d

board got 8h 4h 5h 9s Jh

your best card is KK. and board best Jh 9s 8h. so you hit pair of K only. if texas holdem, you hit flush already.

I fortunately played it first time for play chips so had the "wtf?!? i've got nut flush" moment for free. But I do sometimes do blocker bluffs, if I get called on river I might just pretend I thought I had a flush for meta-game rather than them knowing I was bluffing nut blocker and trying to get them to muck smaller flushes.

Im still so confused by starting hands in PLO, maybe I should study or something, because someday my goal is to play HU PLO.

That was a sick pot Rotana check-raised flop. Bet pot on turn and our hero shoved.

It's more about post flop, you can't really afford to fold everything HU. It's the same as NLH, there's about 10% of the hands which are good and the rest are very average but when you play HU you're going to end up playing some of the marginal holdings and getting in some thin spots.

I'd love to know what sort of hand he puts him on that check-raises flop and then stacks off on turn. Only thing is it was a limped pot pre-flop which could possibly remove the big pairs but I don't know if that was a factor and a limp doesn't mean too much anyway.

jesus...what a sick call. I can't work out if it's genius or donk - it's a fine line. OP might be some PLO pro and just doing a huge level. OP raises to $3 on BTN and rotana called. Rotana checks, OP bets $6, Rotana raised to $24. OP calls. Rotana shoves turn for $43.90 and OP tanks and then calls.

yeah you played with me, just for like 25 hands, then you disconected and sat out, so I left.

Not looking down on you, just commented that the line Masq suggested was one of a very experienced Omaha player, which you said yourself were not.
