Hi
Should we always call with good pot odds even if it means our stack is kind of crippled if we lose and therefor we lose our folding equity?
Exmaple

    On Game, $1 Buy-in (200/400 blinds, 40 ante) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 8 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite. View Hand #8321932

    SB: 3,490 (8.7 bb)
    Hero (BB): 2,960 (7.4 bb)
    UTG+2: 1,305 (3.3 bb)
    MP1: 1,175 (2.9 bb)
    MP2: 1,535 (3.8 bb)
    MP3: 1,260 (3.2 bb)
    CO: 1,095 (2.7 bb)
    BTN: 2,180 (5.5 bb)

Preflop: (320) Hero is BB with 5 8
    2 folds, MP2 raises to 1,495 and is all-in, 5 folds

    Spoiler:
    Results: 1,320 pot
    MP2 mucked and won 1,320 (880 net)

Villian is pushing around 30%, at least, so we should be around 33% to win this hand.

Lets say this one is close because our hand is bad, but what if we have a slightly better hand like T9o or if the 85 is suited which brings us up to 36% equity vs his range. Is this a call or should we fold because we have FE in the later hands?

ok i looked it up at holdem resources which has about the same pushing range as our villian.

    http://www.holdemresources.net/hr/sn...50&s8=2500&s9=

But lets say we know we have a pretty big edge with a stack that has FE, ar we still calling then?

yeah i mean...just because your getting good pot odds doesnt mean you have to call. especially if your getting rght around to payout time. poker doesnt reward you just because you have good pot odds..sometimes you gotta wait it out.

This, tons of times I pass up 2-1 spots where calling would crush my stack or I have a good reason to pass it up; like I can own ppl on the bubble and calling guy would end bubble

thank you, this was pretty much what I wanted to hear.
I have one more hand where I am interested to hear the opinion of others.

$11 same structure. It is reasonable to assume villian is pushing around 30% here am I right, but we cant know so thats why we are leaning towards folding.
BUT lets say we KNOW he is pushing 30% of his range, which gives us around 45% equity with pot odds of 1,5:1, obvious cEV+.
But then again we might find better spots in the next few hands, antes are not kicking untill a couple of minutes btw.
So basically what are you other guys reasonig here?

We are in BB, just to calirfy

    Grabbed by Holdem Manager
    NL Holdem $200(BB) Replayer
    SB ($1,630)
    Hero ($1,260)
    UTG ($1,020)
    UTG+1 ($3,770)
    UTG+2 ($2,810)
    MP1 ($1,440)
    CO ($1,155)
    BTN ($1,915)

    Dealt to Hero A 4

fold, fold, fold, MP1 raises to $1,440 (AI),

    fold, fold, fold,

    Hero?

    Spoiler:
    Hero folds

    MP1 wins $500

Thank you in advance and for all the response in the thread.
