What is your take on showing your opponent your hand after it is over? I have heard it said that you should almost never show your opponent because it gives him insight on how you play, but what if it is to keep him guessing. For example, say I steal his blinds 3 times in a row with trash hands and then do it with KK, would it be a good idea to show the cowboys to make him think I had real hands those other 3 times or would he catch on. Keep in mind, that I am referring exclusively to online play and against opponents that I don't personally know.

Yeah, show that KK so he thinks you had KK and AA the other 3 times too :/ Steal another 5 times in a row and he will only put you on TT+ because you showed.

(sorry, bit tilted atm, been stacked twice by a poo flinging monkey, time to eat I think)

I automuck every hand, I guess if you think if you can tilt the hell out of a particular player by showing a bluff or something, do it.

Maybe in live poker you could to let people know that you sometimes bluff or whatever but online I don't see the point.
Fish to my right last night kept showing his hands. I guess he was proud of his bluffs e.g. open raised PF from MP for 6bb, everyone folded, he showed A2o.
No great revelation as he was running 45+ VPIP, but useful info.

If you keep showing a weak player your good hands. He might also think, jees this guy just keeps getting good hands to play. I should stay away from him. WE DONT WANT THAT!!

Don't show online.

Online, I have automuck checked so I get more hands and don't give any info.

When you show the kk it has the opposite affect to what you describe. You show kk and he now knows you will (at sometimes) show your strong hands, as he didn't show the previous times, there is now a higher chance you had a week hand.

In a live environment, there are times I may show. If the big fish in the game likes to see and is it will keep him happy, Ill show. Especially if he shows me, I know I will do more with the info than him.

Never show.
People have poker tracker and holdem tracker. Don't give them notes and info.
Keep whatever edge you have to yourself.

In professional games - sometimes the hero will show villain what he had. This is all to do with 'tilt' if villain just folded on the river to a 25k bet with 150k bet in the pot and hero turns his cards over to show a rubbish hand that didn't even hit the flop, then this will anger the villain and put him on tilt.

At lower levels though or online games it is probably best to muck. Unless you are a high level thinking player playing a high level thinking player it is probably worthless to show your hand.

It only matters to show if you follow the same line you take with both your bluffs and your nuts.

If you show a bluff with a certain line, you'll get paid off on your monster when you take that same line again.

The situation doesn't come up often and I doubt it ever comes up at micros.

Thats what I think anyway
