SHANOOBIGANS is a series of games played ever Saturday and Sunday on Poker Stars and is open for entry to any 2+2 member who can read this thread, but primarily advertised in Beginners Questions and Micro Limit Forums.

Aimed squarely at beginners and noobs to the forum, the buy-in is $1.10 per game. These are a great way to introduce yourself to many of the forum regs and help noobs become involved in the forums.

A competition is run throughout the whole year with the top monthly points-scorers being invited to a final year end game where the winner will receive a custom undertitle and competition winner colour.

Scoring is kept up to date by Obviously.Bogus, and follows an Ironman format. I will post a link to how the scores are kept later on, and a link to this year's scoreboard will be up soon.

The 22.05 Saturday Game will switch from MHE to NL.

Sunday's buy-in will reduce to $1.10

The first Sunday Game of every month will be 8-Game, and subsequent weeks will be picked at random, and will now accrue points on the monthly leaderboard. The Sunday Game monthly winner and one extra wildcard will now gain a ticket to the year end final.

I will stake up to 10 noobs to any SHANOOBIGANS game of their choice this weekend, as follows:

Not played SHANOOBIGANS before.
Less than $10 in your Stars account.
PM me a pic of your account (block out private info) with your SN and I will transfer a buy-in.
Any winnings are split 50/50.
Any bounties won are yours to keep in full.

The SHANOOBIGANS 2010 Final Game will be played on Saturday 15 January at 15.00 Stars Lobby Time, and will co-incide with the usual SHANOOBIGANS Event.

The game will be NL, and the buy-in will be $5.50. I will set the game up shortly and PM the participants the password.

Winner receives a SHANOOBIGANS custom undertitle, and a competition winner colour the latter being retained for one year.

I have one qualifier that cannot probably make it to the final, and in anticipation of others I take the executive decision of putting Hippy80 on the list, as the person with the highest score that didn't make it, on the proviso that there is an odd number regged with half an hour before the game starts.

If the criteria is met, and Hippy can;t play, we go with odd numbers.

SHANOOBIGANS and SHENANIGANS runs every week, but there are some other fun events held during the year, and occassionaly impromptu tourneys run when someone makes one. And a few drunken cash games get advertised every now and then

Only reason I joined in it was to play with people I see on here. Gets boring with a bunch of randoms every turny.

As stated before i'm prob one of the worst players ever and just get lucky. I would not mind sitting down a some LOW cash games with players from here.

I know what you mean. Poker can get boring playing a bunch of randos all the time. The forum tourneys can be a load of fun with plenty of chat and bounties and things going on.

And plenty of us suck too

You need to ask Stars to enable the private tourney privelage - but you need to have earned 2000 fpps on your account before they will let you.

2000fpps lol take me a month for that.
