Serious doubt: call or fold

So I used to play regularly poker online around 2013-14. Got to NL25 overall being a solid winner
After lockdown, I decided to start playing from the beginning. I am now in NL10 with good bankroll but in the last weeks the bad beats and coolers have been so bad that I only see constant nuts against me.
What do you do in this situation, sorry no Game Log available
Hero: middle position AKs, opens pots 3BB
BTN: call
BB: calls (deepstack, like me)
Flop : 3 A 5 - no flush draw
BB: check
Hero bet: 1/3 pot
BTN: Calls
BB: Calls
Turn: A - no flush
BB: check
Hero: bet 1/2 pot
BTN: Folds
BB: Call
River: 2 - no flush , potential straight
BB - shoves all-in
Pot on river is 9$ - and both BB and myself have 9$ left behind. BB Ayers goes all-in for all his 9$
Thanks!

Maybe if you went for value on the first two streets, rather than betting extremely small for no apparent reason, this would be an easy decision

As already mentioned bet bigger on the flop.
He obviously has a lot of hands that beat you - A5, A4, A3, A2, 45, 22, 33, 55 - that he might have played that way.
I'm a fish though and call anyway hoping to see A6-AQ

FWIW, on that board, when you bet the turn and get called, the red alert sirens should be going off in your head.
Just fold OTR, if he's bluffing there, that's life.
