Calling them down live really works because you can utterly destroy them verbally and thus psychologically and then benifit from their reactions and shame. Online once the gig is up they rathole. Also they dont need to hold themselves physically. Bluffing live is stressfukl enough that most people just don't do it as often. The people who do like say Gus Hanson or Sammy Farquah are pretty sorted out energetically. Are you asking how to beat people online who once they double up leave the table?


I mean that really depends. I don't really fear shortstacking ratholers. They can be annoying .... most are not that good and I don't care toooo much .... can still be annoying that I have to alter my game a bit because they are there... especially if the necessary alterations cost me a bit from any fish at the table. And occasionally there's a good 1 or 2 .... though I'll say I have not run into too many people I'd classify as good shortstackers.

Make them screw up early. I do all my work against these players PF. Sure some beat me and some get away before we can dance but it feels great when I can get someone all in preflop when I have QQ and they have 9 high.
