Say your playing Rush poker and most players are unknowns. Fullring game. 25nl and 50nl.

You get dealt QQ early postion, you raise one caller from late position. Board 334 (rainbow)
You bet he mid raises, What do you do?

You get dealt KK in late position. You get one caller on the button. Board: Qs 10s 4c You bet he raises 3x, what do you do?

Players have close to full stacks

Wow...nice and vague here. It would help a lot more if you posted actual hand histories. It would really help to have stack sizes in order to give some feedback. Also, what is a "mid raise"?

As posted, I would shove (pending on stack size) the first example. Second example, I would call, then c/c down as long as another spade doesn't hit.

Also, it would really help to know the stake you played at, and if it was 6Max or FR.

What day of the week is it? On weekends I'd get it in. At nittier times I'd probably curse and fold vs. an unknown, unless his stack under 100bb. Anyone who doesn't top off is a fish - ship it and cheer when he calls with 88 or A4.

Do we have the K? Eh, either way I'd probably fold. He's repping a set or 2p. There are a lot of draws and top pair hands that raise this flop, but you can't assume he plays those hands aggressively without reads.

this.

in my opinion, they shouldnt have called it Rush Poker.

they should have called it Aces Versus Kings Poker.

now I just fold KK when I get 4 or 5bet by a typical 10/8 Rush ubernit. its so gross

dont play Rush unless you need emergency ftps or something

There's tonnes of regs. You actually play them more than at regular poker.

Are you guys saying rush poker is harder because you don't have the stats on players at the table like you do on regular tables? I have seen before that people say rush poker is harder, but I don't understand why. Thanks!

it's the same pool of players but it's a huge pool, so while u can get stats (PT3 and HEM supports it now) it's much harder to get postflop reads, which is how you normally achieve infinite win rates with a mark at the table.

There is meta game between the regs. I have 6K hands on some players.
