Wondered what people tend to chose here...
Obviously mainly.on Pokerstars site..
Do you like run it twice and why?
Do you not like run it twice and why?
I can't decide if I want to select it or not

Live I tend to run it once because running it multiple times takes a while. Online I tend to run it multiple times because it doesn't really take any more time, reduces variance and fish like it. I would not devote a material amount of my brain worrying about it either way though.

If you want to get called more easily then run it more than once. If you want folds, run it once.

Simple, If you are playing High Variance, it helps even it out, but as a winning player you should be sticking money in ahead the majority of the time,
so I choose to run it once, because I want the % to become more accurate quicker, and running it twice makes it longer,
more split pots when you would of just crushed them, all around, think its a bad choice (for people who dont gamble it up like mad men)

In a live game I think you should do whatever makes the bad players happy.
The same goes for online but you might want to think about other stuff like variance reduction and risk of ruin. So if you're taking a shot at a game that you're not really rolled for? Run it twice. If you're properly rolled? I don't think it really matters.

An aside that I think is interesting: I never chop tourneys. I play for money, fun, and the mental challenge that a game of wits brings, with priority in that order. I find that when tourneys get down to just a few players, the room for exploitation is huge; if you're any good at poker then I think there is lots of ev to be gained here. Thus chopping tourneys is to be avoided unless you're severely outmatched. Even if you're severely outmatched, I think you should play it out for reputation sake; if you selectively chop when you're outmatched but you don't chop when you're the favorite, you might get a bad reputation which can hurt your bottom line. You wanna be the type of player that the bad players don't mind losing against and also the type that the good players respect as a human. If the bad players don't like losing to you? They won't give action. If the good players don't respect you as a human? They will focus on beating you not just at game speed, but they can and will dissect your strategy away from the table in order to crush you.

run it once cause I play low stakes / micro PLO and want to up the variance and lower the likelyhood of splitting pot / paying higher rake-pot ratio

Online RIT and it's objectively better IMO.
Live it's not an option where I play but I have heard solid arguments for both sides. Live has more of a meta-game, like keeping fish happy, so it becomes a discussion like chopping the blinds. Another factor is that it takes longer live, online is effectively instant.

Yeah I've never run it twice live or online...
I always hear people saying about it and it's pros... I've never really been a fan as I think for me it would cause me to get the money in more often but not always as a favourite and more coin flips due to getting the second shot at it....
Those who run it twice online do you find this sometimes creeps into your game?

If you are laggy and bluffy, I would run it twice on PS. If you don't get folds when you shove, at least you have 2 shots at winning back your money.
Live if I get to choose, I would run it once if I am ahead, and run it twice if I am behind.
