Read somewhere that it is a good idea to record a session and look it over, because at the time he might seem like a good play but actually it wasn't. Just wondering what the best way of doing this was. Obviously I am wanting to look at something free since I am playing micro's. Also can't use PT as have used up the free trial on that as well.

Have you used up the free trial on Hold'Em Manager? That has a neat replayer.

But probably the best way is to record a video of yourself playing. Camstudio is free but I must admit, I found it fiddly to set up and get working. Maybe the latest version is better.

Camtasia is available on free trial (?21 days) and is pretty awesome.

Or ... you could use BBFlashBack Express which is free and does a good job. (Lacks the fancy editing options you'll get in Camtasia, and doesn't offer as many file formats when it comes to creating your movie, but I'd be very surprised if it doesn't do everything you need.)

you can get camtasia on a free 14-day trial, this is what i use and i think its very good.

you can also get camstudio a much more basic programme but its completely free.

Why dont you get the holdem manager trial thats much more better than PT?

just a quick question to anyone else who uses camtasia, how long does it take you to render a WMV approximately? at the minute im rendering an hour long video and its taking ages!

thanks for reply. Have nt used Hold'em Manager. I'm guessing free tiral is 30 days. Will definately use that after I try out the other options you have given me. But will definately use it.

EDIT: any threads on how to work these recording programs?

BBFlashBack Express is pretty intuitive. Select RECORD and follow the simple menus regarding selection of the area you want to record etc.

Camtasia has a goodly selection of tutorials on their website.
