In one of the stickys in the llsnl section i was reading a post from Venice commenting about player observation. He was saying to watch how many hands a villian plays every orbit. If he enters the pot 3/10 he is tight and anything over that is loose. Then went on to say after a few hours you should be able to determine this for everyone at the table.

The problem Im having is in knowing to try to watch everyone at the same time and I lose track of what everyone is doing. If I watch only one or two players and try to keep track that way it seems to take forever. In gereral in trying to build a profile on opponents and put them on a range should I start by watching one person at a time? Also it said to try and keep track if someone is mostly calling or raising to determine if they are loose or passive. It makes sense in theory but I'm having a hard time executing these observations in game (playing at Bovada right now)

Venice said it would take 20 sessions before this skill is ingrained. I have been able to so far label some players accurately but then somtimes they get up from the table and I have to start over or the table changes. Its just harder then it seems on paper...

Pokertracker is like a cheat, it shouldn't be allowed.

I don't think it works at bovada, i might buy holdem indicator. But suppose I want to practice hudless?

How is it a cheat when you use information that is available to anyone including but not limited to every single player at the table.

holdem manager is much better than ptr. its not an adv. the programms itself is alike, but notecaddy>ptr notes, cause u can make any stats by yourself. for example 3betOOP-Cbetflop-Fold Turn as 1 stat, etc.

You can do this in PT too.

It's rather expensive for microstakes considering you won't ever get decent samples and the program itself is quite weak.

Something you can assume is that anyone who open limps is a fish.

I see people open limping all the time on Bovada, I just bought flopzilla so I think Im going to just use hand discussions from this forum and play around with ranges and what ranges hit what flops etc etc and plan out different ways of attack. I do have holdem manager 1 but it doesnt work with Bovada...
