I was curious to hear other opinions on which is more beneficial to the players, to have the rake collected from each pot or to have the player pay for his seat based on time increments. Thanks in advance.

All depends on the no's.

part of it depends on how you play... I'm pretty sure lags benefit from time increments... while tags benefit from rake.

I can't stand a time charge game. You end up paying about $1 a hand it seems. There is always some idiot talking sports betting with the dealer or buying chips from the dealer or asking for a new deck. All the while the clock is ticking. I refuse to play NL at casino's that do this. When competition opens up nearby they usualy drop to pot rake. Look around your table and count how many hundreds are there. If nobody bought any chips, the table would be empty in 12 to 15 hours usually.

Understand this, the management at a casino considers all the money that walks into the building thiers. It's thiers and they do everything they can to keep you from taking it out the door.
