This is embarrassing as hell but can someone explain the steps required to transform 5.80:1.50 to 20%

5.8/2 = 2.9:1 is our actual ratio here. Pretty much getting 3:1 so we need to win 30% of the time to breakeven.

If were talking about being unexploitable, then its definitely a call IMO. But in practice i would say that its a fold since i can't imagine anyone bluffing us with this sizing and he just doesn't value bet worse here enough.

To convert a ratio of X:Y into a percentage, you use Y/(X+Y)

E.g. if the pot odds ratio is 3:1, then the percentage comes from 1/(1+3), which is 1/4 = 25%.
For pot odds of 3:2, it's 2/5 = 40%

With 5.8:1.5, the percentage is 1.5/(5.8+1.5) = 1.5/7.3 = 20.5%

An easy way to remember it is 1:1 = 1/2 = 50%
