Question about posting hands Question about posting hands

Hi, I am new to the forums and will mainly be posting to discuss my hands with other players.

I have been browsing today and have noticed that when people discuss their hands, they post some numbers on the villian.
For example, "Villain was 72/12/4 from 100 hands"

I assume this is referring to something along the lines of VPIP/Preflop raise%/3bet%? If someone can clarify for me that would be great

Also, to obtain these stats on villain, would I have to purchase a HUD? Or is there a free programe that will track the basic stats such as there for me?

Thanks for reading and best of luck

You can download free trial versions of pokertracker 3 and hold em manager.

Yes. These are VPIP/PFR/AFq
AFq = agression frequency.

Thanks for the quick reply!

Which would you reccomend I download? Are there any major differences?

Also, when I see someone post just two numbers, e.g
31/25 or 28/21, is this still VPIP/PFR? Or is it generally
a different set of stats?

Yes it is still VPIP/PFR

I would recommend you try them both and see which you like better.

Most people recommend HEM though.
