Villain's stats over 164 hands: VPIP 22/ PFR 18/ AF 4.8/ 3bet 9.2/ flop fold to cbet 50/ flop turn bet 44/ turn fold 60

So on the flop I pretty much put him on A high flush drawing, and saw ace and went into check fold mode. Can anyone give me their thought process here please?

Gah! That is so weak tight it borders on what Arnie would call girlie man. You block AhQh and he didn't 3-bet pre so I would discount AhKh which doesn't leave him with a lot of Ahxh left in his range. You don't think he could have 88-JJ? 98, T9? Overcards to 76? I'm guessing you bet flop then check-fold a heap of turns so would be a perfect target to float with a huge range. Try to put your opponent on a realistic range of what they would have, not just hands that beat you.

Ok. My cbet is 57 and turn bet is 44. I think I was being pretty aggressive in a few orbits in that game.

The thing is, checking the turn here kind of induces. Also, this being a six max game, there are a lot of suited aces he could be calling here on the BTN. So, hands on turn I'm ahead against are: 88-JJ, 98, 910, 54s...

    I'm behind against: 66,77, 67, Ahxh...

I guess my thought process here was thinking about a river bet from villain because I would be checking river too. Am I going to call 1/2 pot plus on the river here and be happy about it?

How many Ahxh does he have here though? A 22/18 isn't calling all his Axs on the BTN so would likely only be AhTh+, of which he likely does not have AhKh and can't have AhQh, leaving exactly 2 combos of Ahxh that he could have. Now work out how many Ahxh (2) and 66 (3), 77 (1), 67s (2) he could have v how many combos of 88-JJ (24), 98s (4), T9s (4), 5s4s (4) he could have. I'd rather value bet the turn as you can get called by a heap of worse here and then either check-call or check-fold the river depending on what it is and if he can turn made hands into bluffs (e.g. will he bet 88 on the river if checked to?).

Yes, it induces him to bet his entire range. You're beating the bulk of that range, so you should call.
Check-fold river if he bets that too, but a lot of the time, he'll check back hands you beat (stuff like TT/99), because he'll put you Ax and expect you to call again.

Makes sense. The thing here is I put villain on Ax flush draw without thinking about his complete range. Just need to play more.
