When I see a fish I 3 bet light in order to lure him in the flop. You are right I should bet bigger on flop and turn

Fish have no concept of pot odds. You don't need to bet small to keep them in. If they're planning on calling, they'd do it no matter what bet sizing you made.

Just go nuts with your sizing. The larger you make it, the higher your bb/100 will be, so why not milk it for what you can?

A light 3 bet refers to 3 betting with a hand that's not usually worth 3 betting, not the size of the raise, just FYI.

It's good that you understand to make fish call when you have good hands. Too many people actually want fish to FOLD because they dont like losing. You had QQ and you objectively decided to keep the fish in, thats great. But you could have bet a lot more than you did and I'm certain he would have still called, since thats what fish do.

Anyway the biggest mistake was betting the river. The board is 34568. Your opponent never raised on the flop or turn, so it's unlikely he had a big hand like an overpair or set. When this river hits he'd have to be pretty stupid to call with just a pair of 5's or 8's or something. Afterall how does he know that YOU dont have the straight? In all reality, he called you down which most often signifies a draw on a board like this. The draw got there, you should just check to him and hope he checks back. No worse hand is going to call you here, at least not often enough to make this profitable.

^^I disagree about the river. If villain's not a complete tard he can have 99-JJ here, and if he is he'll happily call 1P against a small bet. Def sizing it smaller though, about 40c is good.

So you advocate 3 barelling a fish who calls down on a 4 to a straight board? Oooook.

Betting 40 is silly. Betting isn't, I'd go like 65ish.

Check call the river if villain bets small call if all in fold

if he turn his hand into a bluff more value then betting getting raised by the nuts or folds with weak hands.
