Is it really possible on the long run to be a professionnal player?
I saw some people earning big in a tournament but how many they lost on the other side. On the last ten yeard a lot of tournaments start giving hight prices but is it really enought?

The games have gotten tougher over the years but there is plenty of dead money for those that put the work in. Guess it boils down to the cost of living in your country. For myself to go pro I'd have to be clearing 2.5k per month to cover expenses and save some for a rainy day, whereas I have friends in Eastern Europe that can manage on way less

it is very possible. i live in a country where 50k$ per year is very good earnings, i am professional from age of 18. all my income is only from poker game. now i am 27yo
btw, i don't recomand u to go pro if you win more than 50k$ per year at your job

Yeah your country is a pretty big factor when deciding if poker career is valid. Do you live in eastern Europe? Poker career might be interesting even on lower stakes. Do you live in Switzerland? You better crush high stakes, or it makes no sense to play for living.
