Practicing with Pokerstars' Playmoney

I play poker in 2 specific ways. One is going to an actual casino playing live.
The other is practicing on Pokerstars with play money. Playing at low stakes play money is easy although you buy in frequently (mainly do to people shoving with crap in multi way pots when I have the best hand preflop) and it may not be the best place to practice poker since most people don't play seriously in lower levels.
I sit down and practice with play money like how I would in a real cash game setting in higher stakes since more people are serious it isn't as much of a crap shoot as the games in lower stakes.
Do you guys think practicing poker with playmoney on pokerstars is a waste of time?

Yes. Put $50 online somewhere and play some 2nl or 5nl cash, it will be much better practice.

Yes, play money will help you get a feel for how the games work ie. of the cards are dealt, how the rounds of betting work. If you want to practice strategy you should play some micro stakes.

Why don't you play the highest stakes?

Playmoney is for learning the game mechanics and the software. Basically only play it if you're not sure if a flush beats a straight or if you're drunk.
