First of hi everyone. I have been reading the forums for a while now and have subscribed to the podcast etc. However, this is the first time I thought I had some information that might be helpfull to others, so I have decided to join the forum and create this post.

Basically I wanted to warn others about what I believe is false advertising at PokerStrategy.com. Don't get me wrong, I believe the site has a wealth of information and seems to very well put together. You also do recieve prompt replies when you raise a ticket through their support system. However I do not believe their $50 starting capital is legit. I feel very let down having sent them very personal identification details only to be told that I failed their ID check and would not be recieving the starting capital. They also refused to offer and explanation as to why this might be.

With identity theft so prevalent I now feel totally stupid for sending my ID to this site, especially as it turned out to be totally fruitless.

I'm glad to hear that m8. It gives me a little more confidence, but I still believe its false advertising and maybe they have reached a point were they can no longer offer the starting capital to everyone. It’s very convenient that they do not offer any reason for people that fail their check. Their reply read:

Please note: In order to protect our security procedures, team members are unable to disclose any information about individual ID-check cases. In addition, the process cannot be repeated or the decision overturned. Unfortunately, these rules still apply in the event that we have made an incorrect decision. If this is the case, please accept our sincere apologies for any disappointment this may cause you.

I can assure you that my identification was 100% legit.

PokerStrategy.com = NAZI´s!!!
I entered on PS and my first question was:
can it be, that your business-model like`s a snowball-system or why get the new member`s only a piece of poker-knowledge? So I believe, I habe not a fair chance against your older member´s ...
BINGO - BINGO - BINGO!!
That was it! Only for this similar question, they closed my account. I was PS-member for only nearly 12 minutes!
WHAT HAPPENS?????
The new-members get only a basis-information about poker and the older-member (silver, gold, platin ....) is fishing the own member-greenhorns!!!
It`s sooooooooo sick - poor german-naz...

You can't get the starting capital if you're from USA no, otherwise it's a perfectly legit site and I got a $50 capital through them.

I to got my 50$ starting capital but was lied to by them. I posted in there forums asking if you still recieve rakeback from them on full tilt and he said yes you do. Then emailed full tilt to ask them if I am eligible for rakeback and they said since I signed up through a affiliate that does not offer rakeback I am not eligible. So be careful signing through them if you want your rakeback

My request was also declined for unkown reasons (ID was accepted though) by Pokerstrategy.com, but after contacting PokerStars personally, I got my $50. This was some time ago though. You should know that you're not eligible for the $50 dollar capital if you're from the US:

Hi deetee7101,

I am one of the Community Managers at PokerStrategy.com. I can assure you that all our offers are legit and that we not only offer the best offers on the web, we also have a really nice community and top quality educational material.

I can understand that you doubt our offer, as it is increadibly good. How can we give away $50 to everyone you think? Well, it is a part of our business model actually, and by having people playing for us, eventually that money comes back to us, from the Poker room, as a thanks for being an affiliate and bringing new players to the poker room.

Unfortunately we sometimes have to decline users, due to our security system. Sometimes this also happens to people that did not have any bad intentions, but unfortunately there is nothing we can do about this. Revealing information about our security systems could greatly harm us, which is why such information is confidential.

I can assure you, on behalf of the company I work for, that there is no identity theft and we highly respect our members privacy. The information sent in is always shredded after a decision has been made. There are no longer any records of your ID-documents. There is nothing to worry about. We have nothing to gain on stealing your identity. If you read our business model, you will see what interests us, and why people identities are of no interest of us to steal or spread in any illegal way.

Read all about our business model on the following link.

I hope I was able to be of assistance, don't hesitate to ask me if you need any other answers to your questions. In our forums we have almost 24/7 support.

Cheers, Joakim
