Which pokerroom? Which pokerroom?

So I've been playing for a while over various sites, such as stars, ongame and Ipoker. I prefer ongame due to softer games and the abillity to switch between skins to clear bonuses as a RB but I hear a lot of people saying that Stars is way more profitable. What's your take on this? Which is the best pokerroom for someone playing nl10-25 etc

I haven't tested other sites, but people say stars (along with fulltilt) is where the games are the toughest.

That being said, I like the stars software (which i think is way ahead of all the others), and I like challenges.

Sure, I lost half my br when I played my very first 1k hands of poker at stars, but it pushed me to learn and improve my game tremendously.

I've been round quite a few sites because Stars is by far the most difficult, but it is still my favourite as the software is miles better than the others (although Full Tilt was my favourite when it was running). I also find 10NL pretty beatable, 25NL is too but a lot harder than 10 due to there being less weak players.

It is beatable, you just have to find the right tables. I usually sort the lobby by VPIP %, the higher the better as this will generally have the fishy players and maniacs. At 10NL you often see tables have 60-80% VPIP, but at 25NL it rarely goes above 45%, which shows the difference in player ability.

I prefer to play 25NL, but if my BR drops below $300 I just 12 table 10NL until I'm about $400, then jump back to up 25NL. The reason I don't go back to 25NL when I'm back over $300 is so that I have room to lose a few buy ins and not destroy my roll.

I would also recommend coaching if you haven't already. I had some toward the end of last year and it really helped my thinking. Unfortunately the cards haven't been too kind recently so I'm playing 10NL for now.

I would avoid Merge as I tried them out recently and the withdrawal process is a bit of a pain, the first time anyway. Not all the deposit methods are available as withdrawal options and in order to withdraw, you have to have already used that method to deposit. I deposited using Visa, then when I cashed out I could withdraw using Visa, so had to set up an account with one of the other withdrawal methods, then deposit using that method and then withdraw lol. Never again.

I am a U.S. player so I am unable to play on the sites you have listed. I have spent most my time on Merge and Cake, but I actually prefer Merge (RPM Poker) due to the very well coded software. Multi-tabling on Cake is a challenge, but RPM's multi-tabling features are seamless. The traffic on the Merge is also great for a site accepting U.S. deposits, but not so much on Cake. I haven't cashed out recently so I can't give any opinion on speed. I wish online poker was not considered such a "threat" in the U.S. >

I don't play as high as 25NL, but Stars and Merge have the toughest games. Stars offers the most pleasant experience software-wise, but a site like 888 or Party should be more profitable due to the looser/fishier competition.
