Hello everyone!
I hear a lot of people use the term "outer" a lot. "a two outer" or a "three outer." What does that mean? I know it's a dumb question and i'm sure it's something simple. I guess i'm in the right place to ask these types of questions rather than at the table right? All comments are greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Brian

It refers to the number of cards you can hit to pull ahead of your opponent.

Say you have a pocket pair and need to hit a set to win, you are looking at a 2 outer. A flush draw would be a 9 outer assuming the only way you can win is by hitting the flush etc.
