normally if you know your outs you automatically know if your making the right call or not... if you have 14 outs on the flop.......good chance your getting what you need
your hole cards are 3
4
flop come's
2
A
7
you have 12 outs
5
(Straight flush)
6
7
8
9
10
j
q
k
(flush)
5
5
5
(straight)
so you do 12outs*4=48%
on the turn your multiplier is 4 so you have a 48% chance of hitting the nut straight flush, flush or straight. 5:1 odds pretty damn good .. you can raise anything up to half the pot
If you miss on the turn you still have the same amount of outs 12 on the river
your multiplier is now 2
so 28% or 3:1
so now as far as pot odds
if you have 5:1 odds to hit your outs
a smart call
would be anything less the 500 in a 1000 chip pot
anything more your chasing and you can get stuck with rags real quick.
