Playing draws is probably the weakest part of my game, simply because I'm rarely chasing them, either I'm the preflop raiser, and so I'm cbetting my draws, or occasionally I'm in position and its an easy pot odds question. But I never really include implied odds when I am not the aggressor, because often you don't have them with a flush draw for example, so I just call if i have the pot odds and fold If I dont, I rarely play my draws aggressively when I don't have the initiative.

I'll make an example hand

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (6 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Button ($7.55)
SB ($6.40)
BB ($10.30)
UTG ($9.15)
MP ($5.90)
Hero ($11.35)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 9, 8.
UTG raises to $0.3, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.30, Button calls $0.30, SB calls $0.25, 1 fold.

Flop: ($1.30) 5, T, 7 (4 players)
SB checks, UTG bets $0.5, Hero calls $0.50, Button folds, SB calls $0.50.

Ok, on the flop I'm calling as price is cheap, and if guy behind me overcalls i'm getting correct odds, I'm folding too a raise though as it probably indicates I dont have 8 full outs, I see no reason in raising here as UTG regardless of bet size seems pretty strong raising UTG and betting into three people.

Turn: ($2.80) 3 (3 players)
SB checks, UTG bets $0.8, Hero calls $0.80, SB calls $0.80.

Cool, so guy behind me cold called, again I'm getting a decent price and I figure SB is drawing also so Ill probably get to river for this price, its now looking increasingly clear that I dont have 8 outs, UTG may even have nut flush draw, and not an overpair.

River: ($5.20) 6 (3 players)
SB checks, UTG bets $1.2, Hero raises to $6.05, SB calls $4.80 (All-In), UTG folds.

River the nuts, cool worked out, not sure what UTG has anymore his bet looks desperate and dont know if its a missed draw or hopeless feeling overpair

Final Pot: $17.25

I dont think I see at any stage any reason to raise, as I dont think I have fold equity, maybe on the flop? If I had a stronger draw, for example 98spades, then yeah cause my hand is much stronger

in this case there is nothing wrong with calling because the flop and turn bets are so low, so i think it was played well, sometimes people will recognize people are drawing and then on the turn bet alot to give bad odds and its times like these you let draws go but ya just go with the odds for the most part.

also if you have position if the flop is pretty bad and you have a SD/FD you can always raise and just try to take the pot down right away

what do you do if you flat call and the 6s or Js hits?

crying call on the river and hope to not get raised behind?

You can re-raise in this situation to semi-bluff UTG and drive out the spade draw, in multi-way pots you have to assume you're drawing to 6 outs instead of 8 outs a lot, so you're essentially buying outs when you re-raise. Depending on the board texture, Txx7 or a double inside straight draw, it's worth considering because your hand appears to be a flopped set.

The hand you posted is fine tho', do you have any specific questions?
