How do you be patient when you are card dead? I believe that's my biggest problem, I begin to play cards that I wouldn't normally play, And chase 1 pair. Which leads to me busting out.

You never are card dead - you simply have been card dead. Having been card dead up until the current hand does not mean that you will continue to get bad cards. It doesn't mean you are due for good cards, or that the bad ones will keep coming. It simply means nothing. So just play your hands the way you know you should play them.

You do not need to get lots of good hands in order to win. In an STT you only need a couple of big pots near the end. In a cash game you can fold almost every hand and still end up a winner if you get one or two decent sized pots.
