I started playing online poker a few weeks ago and started on www.partypoker.com looking through these forums a i haven't seen it mentioned once?

For my strategies as well i have been referring to poker strategy.com again i haven't seen this mentioned.

Are these 2 very newbie mistakes or just i could be doing meself better off and heading elsewhere to start?

Partypoker has been around for ages, it used to be huge but now Full tilt and pokerstars are the biggest by far. As for strategy, you want to be looking at the stickies in the micro stakes pl/nl forum and/or deucescracked for videos

It's funny how back in the super boom of poker in 2005 that party poker was huge and now it maybe 3rd biggest at best?

Pretty sure they are 4th behind iPoker now.

They suck because their 'rewards' system has always been a pile of crap. And their reload bonus system is/(was?... haven't played there in over a year) random and stupid.

Noone in their right mind would play there tbh... not enough value compared to other options.

So for someone like me who is just starting out and has discovered sit and go's what direction would you point me?

Is FTP too much for me to start with? Shall i build up myself a nice deposit for FTP to make the most of any bonuses there or just start there with my $100 capital?

1st thing I would do as a begining sng player is join a training site or buy a book on sitngos to get the right training to play these. They are very deceptive and to be a winner in the long run u have to have a game based on ICM(Independent chip model).

If u can only do either book or training site do training site 29.95 (7day free trial also), u still would have 70 dollars left. Watch AMT's beginner series start playing 2 dollar buyin sngz, if u don't go on tilt that would probaly be ur best plan to make a return on investment. W/o ICM kiss that money goodbye.

Maybe I'm not in my right mind, but I play a lot at PartyPoker. After my graph above, I got over $6,000 more the past month just in their various "crappy" bonuses and promotions.
