So I've only played live before but I want to expand to the online game. I had a couple of questions. I know enough, have read HOH & PNLHE, and am going to read Kill Everyone next and a few others after. I also put in +150 hours playing this summer at local casinos and am in the green from it, not by much but a couple hundred dollars on 1-3 & 1-2 live. I have read a few threads on 2+2 about micros play. I plan on starting at the micros and working on BM, but I was wondering if:
1. What site should I play on? Considering rakeback, fish, bonuses, etc.
2. Are there any other books you suggest reading before moving to online micros?

Thanks

Edit: 3. What programs/tools do you suggest using for online play? Tracking wins/losses etc.

Thanks again

You really just need to get acclimated to the online environment. People dont raise 20BB's preflop to protect KK like they do live, and usually dont value bet the nuts 1/5 pot on 3 streets because they dont even know how much is in the pot. Get used to normal betsizing.

Pokerstars has the best software, but you would be better off on somewhere like Ipoker, which is both fishier and has far better rakeback deals. You can also hop between skins picking up very tasty sign up bonuses, although there is an element of risk with less established skins. A skin like William Hill would be about as safe as you can get in online poker.

Also as a tip, don't try to play many tables as the same time as microstakes, it will become much harder to improve and move up that way for most players. Stick to no more than three or four.

There are plenty of sites that offer reviews of multiple sites (maybe 2p2 does, I only come here the forum) and they all have affiliate accounts with the sites they list. Read as many reviews as you can and try and decide which deposit bonus program or rakeback schemes sound most appealing.
I based my choice (WSOP.com) on the reviews at http://www.pokerlistings.com/ but stupidly forgot to use the download link/bonuscode they provided, so I'm not getting extra rakeback.
Don't make the same mistake as me. Follow the instructions very carefully, or you could be throwing 10% of every pot away in rake.

Pokerstars is the most popular site by a considerable margin, and the long-term reward scheme there is perhaps better than any deposit bonus (e.g. "200% of your deposit back... but only if you play a gazillion hands of high stakes in the first month"), as it's actually pretty hard for a total newbie to recoup much rake in the early stages of his/her career.

Addendum: Support 2p2 and get some excellent free books by using the signup links at http://www.twoplustwo.com/poker-bonus/

Sorry, what do you mean by skins?

Skins are different poker clients that are all on the same network.
An example would be the merge network: carbon, lock, rpm, etc.
