i am new to poker....some one help me to read winning hands....
Jack wins playing his diamond 2 and the 3, 4, 5, 6 on the board for a 6 high straight.

How to get there. Board has no pairs so full house or better(exception straight flush) is not possible. Board has 3 clubs so if any player has 2 clubs in their hand they have a flush. No player has that so flush is not possible. Board has 4 cards(3, 4, 5, 6) to a straight. Any player having a 7 or a 2 has a straight, if a player has both a 7 and 8 they have the biggest possible straight. No player has a 7 so a 2 is the biggest possible straight. Jack has a 2.

I often level myself when i have top pair top kicker to people with sets. How do you identify to fold? Lately since I have changed from looking at individual hands to more thinking of their whole range its happened a bit less but some more tips would be great.

Varies dependent on exact board and action, but I usually have the rule of thumb that TPGK is worth two bets post and try to tailor the action so that's what I put in. When it becomes obvious that I'm going to need to play for more to get to showdown is when I think about folding

Hello, I cant understand why it says that if you hold 99-22 and the villains before you fold you have to fold in EP or MP. But if the villains before you call you have to call in EP or MP. Is something wrong with this chart? The hero is in better position if the players before him fold, right? Thank you.

you are playing for set value and implied odds. if you don't have players putting money into the pot before you, you get neither

You must raise an increment equal to or greater than the amount of the previous raise unless all-in.

In your example, if UTG opens to $30, this is effectively a raise of $20 (from the BB), so the smallest 3-bet size that is allowed is another of that increment or $30+$20 = $50.

so UTG can open...20 dolllar also right.....or 15 dollars....just plus the BB...

ok if big blind bet is 10 dollar.......next option for UTG is call,rise, or fold options.....UTG can call 10 dollar, rise 10+10=20 dollar or 30 dollar or fold

what is 2bb??

2bb = 2 big blinds

in general the minimum amount of a raise = (last bet size) - (size of bet before)

worth noting that UTG can raise any amount which can be formed by the chips in play, not just increments of BB. so in $5/$10, $20 is the minimum open, but *if* there's chips in play to enable it, $23.46 is just as valid as $20 or $30.

however, if you're playing live poker and you're not betting increments of the bb everyone's gonna think you're just a bellend.
