Maybe I'm projecting my own playing tendencies onto others, but I'd think the odds of having the best hand in that situation are less than one in ten.
People are always starting threads about this. Here's two:

I have a really dumb one guys: On my new poker tracker 3 thingy the vp/pr/af display is blocking the little ticker thingy in tournaments, making it harder for me to shove, etc. What do I do?

highlight your mouse over the black box and hold the right mouse button and move it whereever it is more comfortable to you.

If someone is running 35/13 and I'm playing 15/13, can I say his ranging range is the same as mine more less?

my PT stats are 15/14/7

Is my TAG game too aggressive? What is optimum TAG?

You're re raising your small pockets a bit too frequently probably.

Optimal depends on the table, but I think an 19/15-16 or 22/18 is about right.

Thank you for your reply...

You are correct, I have been doing that as a standard part of my game. A leak I can easily plug. I guess I should adopt the 5/10 rule. I just HATE calling PF and post flop for that matter. I also double barrel very frequently & even triple barrel if I'm getting called right through.

As a generalization...In terms of optimum aggression for TAG strategy... say 4-5???

3 is about right. 3.5/4 isn't bad but might be spewey/losing value if you never flat call your top pairs on dry boards.

Here's another one for you.... Critique my PF game.....

(FR player)

co or btn and have 2 or 3 limpers, I'm more often than not going to raise up any Suited Ace, Suited Connector to 76 and pocket pair... plus some offsuit broadway cards time to time depending on limper's stats.

If in same position facing a raise from UTG or MP, I tighten up my hand selection and reraise AA-1010....sometimes 99 & 88, AK AQs AJs depending on player range

Obviously post flop I am C betting most times depending on texture and # of callers

Too spewy?

Very broadly, this has basically been my game plan and given me the TAG stats 15/14/7.

Feedback and suggestions most appreciated...

This is standard for 6Max. In fact, if your limpers aren't huge maniacs and folds to cbet enough, it's profitable to isolate with any two suited cards.

If your opponents get value-towned easy, and you do not expect a reraise behind you, you can call a raise with any pocket pair to set mine or bluff them off an unpaired hand (that's not really bluffing, but whatevs).

Your stats are fine. Folding AJs to a UTG/EP raise is fairly standard if the game is tight, but at lower limits, calling AJs is perfectly fine. Fairly standard in 6Max against fish, though vs a tight player, AJ isn't the best since their range is pocket pair, suited connectors, and almost never a weaker ace. Vs some regs, they raise Axs from any position, so AJs call isn't terrible if your postflop is solid.

In FR, you need to be wary for AJs, but I can't fault you for it either.

So your range is pretty okay. That said, I don't play FR much, soooo I can be wrong.

Appreciate your time & thanks for the encouragement. Perhaps I should give 6 max a go with my stats.

Cheers. (Nice graph btw!)

Okay i tried searching threads and posts and nothing conclusive came up, so i have a real dumb question.

My friends and i play live every now and then, and we always get confused with the flush.

Lets say X holds 9Ts and Y holds K8s, board is As 2s 3s 7d Qs

Is this a split, or does Y win the hand? I know that in Hold'em the winning hand is the best 5 card hand, in this case the best hand is an Ace high flush, right? So does this mean the pot is split?

AKQ high flush beats AQT high flush. So Y wins.

Thanks!

I've been trying to tell my friends that... else if theres an ace high flush on the board, everyone would be shoving and then "yay we split the pot 10 ways!" or something.
