A good spot to C-bet depends on whether you're c-betting as a bluff or for value.
As a bluff, you don't want to be called, so good spots to c-bet as a bluff are spot where you are the least likely to be called.
Some factors that make it so you're less likely to be called:
- 1 villain instead of 2 or more.
- You having a tight image.
-
The board being dry.
- etc.
In addition, regardless of the chance of you being called, having outs to improve, making your c-bet a semi-bluff instead of a bluff, should make you c-bet more often.
Also remember to be aware of way ahead/way behind spots.
