So I've been reading the guides/stickies at the uNl forums, and I can't seem to get a hang of where to start. Could anybody point out which area's I should work on, like ex. 3-betting and such. All which is needed at the uNl, so I there is a better basis at the fundamental's for the lvl.

Hope I made myself clear.

I am a casual/weekend microstakes player. Is it worth me downloading the free trial on pokertracker to see where I am going wrong?

Yes, it's a "first deposit bonus" not a "first transfer bonus".

If you're playing DoNs and think you might be playing too loose then you're playing too loose.

As far as other games go, this is way too vague a question. It's like a baseball player asking "Am I swinging at too many pitches". We'd need a lot more information.

In general though, yes, it is very common for beginner players to be too loose and more importantly too passive.

Yes. Get PT3. Do the trial. When it runs out get HEM and do the trial. By then you should be in a position to decide if it's worth it to you and which one to buy.

This one is a bit dumb I guess...

If you're playing online (i.e Party Poker) and let's say you just win a big pot with a great hand, you turn $25 into $200 for example, can you just leave the table and deposit the money into your bank account? I mean playing in real time it's kinda like a last man standing type deal where you let people have a chance of winning their money back, but on online poker can you just bail after a big win?

Yes.

You can do this live too.

You can't. You can PM a mod in the forum you posted and ask but depending on the specifics it may or may not happen.

I was just wondering, would there be any point in me for example just watching a 1knl 6-max game? As in watching it and trying to learn?

would this be a good use of my time?
If i were to do this what would be the best things to focus on?

no, I would just watch videos for your stakes because the opponents are completely different, I watch high stakes videos by aejones sometimes just for entertainment though.

umm this is my first ever post....i guess here is a dumb question, how do I get really good at mixed games...Im beating the smallest stakes on full tilt, but i want to like start making real money doing this Iv read a few poker books...I hate my job, i played so much poker over the last few years live in Atlantic City and online at home, Iv never deposited on any site, but Iv won a decent amount of money freerolling, a couple of times even turned a dollar into about 500 grinding it out for a month or so. But I feel like inevitably I lose because I start to run bad and play bad. Help me 2+2.

When I shove all in on the river and let's say my shove turns a $3 pot into a $13 pot and opponent folds - the dealer summary says 'Hero wins $13' does Party collect rake on all of the $13 or just the amount I won off villian?

There are no short cuts. Play. Study. Play more. It's going to take a lot of time and effort.

There are training sites that have videos on mixed games. I know at least Deuces Cracked has them.

I am almost certain it would only rake the $3.

Dumb question, but when / where will the WSOP ME coverage be uploaded? It's already halfway through July? I don't recall when they put it on youtube last year but I feel like it wasn't this late into the summer.

Or did I miss something and they won't cover it this year? Find that hard to imagine

Just the $3, regardless of the amount you bet, when your opponent folds, that money goes back to you, and the money that was in the pot before the bet gets raked

Hey folks - I'm not the best when it comes to computers but my tables are kinda jerky like they're trying to catch up with the action - is that the download speed or do I just need more ram?

Its a 3ghz chip with 1 gig of ram running 6 tables, Poker Tracker and Avira.

To get really good at HORSE, you should get to be decent at all the stud games, get decent at Hold'em, and decent at Omaha.

If you get really good at one of the games in the mix, you don't have to be as good in one of the others. But play tight in the game you are bad in.

If the game is half badeucey, half Chinese poker with 2-7 in the middle, well then you should get decent at badeucey and at Chinese poker.

Get the picture?

So silly question (probably answered somewhere...)

When calculating outs it seems folks look at the cards that will improve their hand over their opponent's.

But villains have outs too... So even if I hit my outs, s/he may improve to beat me. So if I have KK and 2 outs to a set, my ace with AA also can improve. So I don't have an 8-9 percent because he has outs as well (AA and hitting two pr).

How do you deal with that?
