Hello Friends. I am not new here, i kept reading some or the other thing but never posted here.
I am not new to poker, but i am not a regular. I play occasionally when I believe I have free time to invest in poker.
This month had been great for me in poker. You can check out my stats and winning here
http://www.officialpokerrankings.com...ml?t=2&scp=659

I like progressive knockouts , and i play with a buyin of 2.2 , 3.3 and 4.4. I will continue to enjoy them as they are like my fav's
Now as i have a 4k$+ BR with me, should i only play with a buyin of >8$ to <$15 ?
I tried some tourneys with 8$ and 11$ but i dont run good in them,m almost always facing suck outs

Obviously I want to move higher, but I am not very comfortable to play any MTT with >5$ buyin

Can you guys suggest me how to move higher and play with this BR ??
Any kind of suggestions are welcome, whether related to studying books, watching videos or anything that cross your mind.

Note: I am gonna play from now only at weekends , just need suggestions on whether to play higher buyin games with a good BR or continue playing the one that i used to

play whatever you can beat and are rolled for. with $4k, $40 MTT's is probably the maximum buy-in you want, but don't play too low, maybe between $20 and $50 if you can beat it. If not just read some books or get some coaching.

Tbh, from what i'd be comfortable, you may know yourself when you are sure that you should move up. You may feel that more successive wins may be that, or if you get to a point where your game has improved more. Gl

If you don't play 10s at the same time you are missing value.

What? Dude is scared money above $5s... has just hit a nice heater at micros..and you want him to jump into $50s? No.

OP, start playing $10s.

I would just carry on but mix in a few higher when and as you feel like it.
If things go well play more and more of the higher ones.

If you feel more adventurous switch completely to the approx. $10 and just be prepared to drop back down if you lose $1 to $2k.
If you are more adventurous you gain faster but if you forget to use some control and don't jump down early you can go broke easy. Jumping back down when things go wrong is one of the main crucial abilities to have for great BRM.

One thing is that it is so difficult to get a remotely accurate feel for your quality of play that when you move up if you run bad it may feel more like you are playing in much stronger fields than is really true.

Good luck. Can't really add anything new to what's been said here. I agree with trying $10 buy-ins (or $11 obv). Your model is exactly what I want to achieve this summer playing those sorts of tournaments.

How much hand analysis do you do after tournaments?

Also, what strategy do you have for rebuy/add on tourneys? (in terms of how much you rebuy, early strategy etc)

Might sound weird but I don't do hand analysis.
In the rebuy tournament, i immediately rebuy at the start of tournament and play TAG , if i broke , i dont rebuy again...
I did had a couple of shots in 3x rebuy tournaments,i think that is the one with utmost variance. Playing TAG there doesn't help much. And i have decided never to try them again.

In slow regular Rebuy tournaments, rebuying at the start and then playing TAG is my strategy.
I will suggest you to try Progressive knockouts..they are really good...I think variance there is very less as we can get the buyin there very easily with few knockouts.

You don't do hand analysis?

You don't rebut if you lose during the rebuy period?

Take the money off and learn to play. Don't burn money.
