So I went out for dinner tonight with the bees, and a nice family. Pretty much our adopted family as the lady gave Mrs Bee away at our wedding and it was for her birthday.

So tavern poker ... its FT bubble (8 player FT) and the blinds are 3k-6k ... I'm SB, 4 handed with 15k ... UTG has a fairly healthy stack and limps in ... BTN folds ... BB (Amanda) has her BB of 6k in, and I can only see 1k behind, so I ask if thats all she has, and indeed, thats it ... so I shove my 2.5bb ... she thinks about it for a moment, looks over at the other table and says she's folding ...

"All-In" Joe (who had already been knocked out when he went all-in with junk in the SB and BB had AK) was still sitting at the table and tried to persuade her that she should call for the extra 1k no matter what she had, but she said that she really wanted to get to the final table and she stuck to her guns and folded ... (UTG folded but thats really not part of the story)

Then at that moment, someone at the other table busted out and it was Final Table time ... Amanda was overjoyed !! She was litterally jumping up and down and clapping with a beaming smile !!

So a new table draw and Amanda is drawn in CO position so she has a few hands, and just before she is in the BB, blinds are up to 5k/10k and a color up so she gets a 5k chip for her 1k. !!!!

I'm in MP with A7s, so I shove my ~5bb stack ... everyone else folds except Amanda who is forced all-in for .5bb .. she has some junk (don't remember) but it hits and now she has 15k

Then she gets hit by the deck, gets good pocket pairs, high Aces, wins some flips, and all of a sudden she is the massive chip lead !!!!

(I was out in 7th place BTW)

Then 4 handed ... Amanda is BB ... UTG folds BTN shoves for .5bb ... SB shoves for .75bb ... and Amanda makes a motion to muck her hand before she realises that her BB has both all-ins covered ... everyone shows their cards .. BTN has AJ ... SB has AK and Amanda has 24o ... flop and turn miss everyone ... and river is a 4 ... and she is HU with a 4-1 chip lead !!!!!

Unfortunately for the story, the blinds soon went up and there were about 10bb total on the table, and either luck then deserted her, or she sucks at short stacked HU, but she ended up in second place ...
