Hi again,

Well obviously a 'daily updated' wasn't wanted, but here I am again telling you how it's going.

Despite a hilarious run of bad beats (one example of having 77 on a 7q74board and still losing the pot), I still think long term poker will get me some decent money.

From what I've observed of playing for about 100 days in a row now- most low limit players have no clue how to play poker. They'll play loads of junk preflop.

Still, the only way I'm going to make an actual living in poker is playing (slightly higher stakes).

Tomorrow... I'm going to try some higher tables.

Maybe 10c5c, maybe 25c10c, but they will be higher. And if I lose a pot I lose a pot, I'm just going to keep playing. That's one weakness I've had, losing a (relatively) big pot then going to play some other online game.

Screw that.

So thanks for all your help again, and I welcome your future advice as I move up.

not if you are against QQ and river is a Q, or if its the 7 4 for example and the river completes a straight flush

Lol nope, a queen came on the river .

Also I've lost part of a pot to with a set of sixes on a 8 6 4 board as well- I won part of it, but lost most of it to a backdoor straight draw, lol.

Still it's all a learning experience.

Learnt enough now though, time to play for more real money.

Yep, there was no flush draw but queen did come on river- my opponent didn't have QQ. If anything comes like that again I will bet more heavily on turn.

That's one the main lessons I've learnt. If you've got a good straight draw, or 2 pair against stupid people BET heavy. The odds are in your favour so get your chips in. Will hopefully do that a lot tomorrow.

Play fast(bet and raise heavy). This will reduce bad beats, and after a while, you'll get action because either you'll look like you're bluffing, or people will get curious of what you have.

Or just start out at $2/4 this way you can make the $$ and quit in a couple months when you are sitting pretty.

So confused. Was there a typo somewhere? Something doesn't add up.

OP, I gather from your post that you are playing 2c/5c. You say that "most low stakes players play junk."

Just want to say that the skill level does increase from 5nl to 10nl and particularly to 25nl. I think it would be foolish to just move up and assume the play is just as bad as at 5nl.

Good luck. :-)
