Who here likes to see their table invaded by a bunch of 8/6/4 nits? I doubt anyone does.

I think the Full Tilt dealt rake and PokerStars FPP system (which works like dealt rake) encourages rakeback leeches -- players who play super tight and don't expect to do more than break even but make their money off of the rake they receive for pots they didn't play in.

While this system may benefit the poker site (at least in the short term), I think a system of proportional rake/FPPs would serve the game better. The players who actually risk something in a pot should receive more rake/FPPs than nits who fold everything but the nuts.

I know, I know, PS and FTP are not likely to change this but I was wondering what you think about proportional rake verses dealt rake. It seems to me that the more 24 tabling super nits there are in a online community the less fun the game is for everyone (especially the fish like me) and the fish are the life blood of the game in the long run.

On a related note, I hate when players change tables all the time. Please feel free to multi table and practice good table selection but having lots of players join a table and leave after two orbits or fewer is annoying. I wish there was some table hopping penalty that a player had to pay into the pot if they wanted to leave before X orbits.

You can exploit the weakness of the nits.

Also, rake contributed encourage loose players. Rake dealt is equal.

The idea of a table hopping penalty is absurd. I move a ton just to get good tables, and if I start to not like one, I'm gone. That's just ridiculous.

You're joking right?

I guess people do sort of take a hit if they leave during an orbit if they have paid their blinds. By paying your blinds you have paid for an orbit of cards. If you leave early you do take a hit, indirectly. Personally I never leave until my bb reaches back around, but I still move tables a lot.

No, I'm not joking. I'm not saying it will happen (it will not) or that there are no unintended consequences.

It doesn't bother me that much but I do view those people who leave the table, come back 5 minutes later, play 1 orbit, leave, come back 10 minutes later et cetera as annoying. They are like the people on the highway during rush hour who change lanes 100 times just so they can get 3 car lengths ahead of you.

I'm all for careful table selection but there comes a point at which table hopping to chase every fish or minute change in VPIP becomes annoying.

yes. I believe that looser games are more fun for fish and therefore better for poker.

Ehm, who leaves and rejoins the table that often? Do you play on some site with like three tables?
