Mexico? Mexico?

Has anyone heard of any horror story's of pro's moving to Mexico. My girlfriend is applying to pretty much any nursing school in California, so San Diego is an option. Would it be possible as U.S citizen to cross the boarder every day and play on stars. safety is an obvious concern as many of my friends have been robbed while partying in tj. thanks for the help

You need to have a government ID and proof of residence in the country you move to. You can't just hop across the border and play on Stars; you have to be a resident. Stars does not allow US only residents to play on their site - no matter where they currently are located. That aside, going across the border 6 times a week should draw no suspicion from anyone. Yup, must be a dude trying to grind some hands... don't bother his ass; nothing to see here.

You have to have proof of residency, which is something quite different than being an actual resident in a country like Mexico.

There was a thread from 2012 in That's What She said that has useful info about Americans playing in Mexico.

As long he has a place set up in Mexico.. he absolutely could live in the US and commute to his place in Mexico to play on Stars.

yeah I currently play on bovada, just kinda getting tired of the anonymity. Thinking of joining carbon but a little skeptical about payouts after reading their thread. I do love how fast bovada allows me to cashout

okay so basically ive been a poker enthusiast since i was 14 more or less. Always enjoyed the game, but never really became a student of the game until I moved away to college. Moved to the bay area to play juco football. When my time at the juco was up I job as a valet at a 4 star hotel. All the valets would play 18 player 2 table sit and go twice a week. Had pretty decent success in these games. Ended up moving back home to work for my fathers company along with my girlfriend. Worked for his company for about a year and voluntary was laid off to help the company (slow down considerably). My idea was that i could collect unemployment while compensating my income through poker. I gave it my full effort and have put together some decent results averaging about 1400 bucks a month profit. I am currently a sit and go grinder and mtt player. I understand this is by no means, "crushing it" but these results have given me a ton of confidence as in the early stages of my poker career I was a losing player. I just hope to continue to grow as a player and improve my strategy. Currently 24 years old. Also play live mtt when value is there.

Yes, he needs to establish residency in Mexico. From what it sounded like I thought he wanted to take a laptop over to Mexico and play without establishing residency.

Well... Unfortunately USA sng grinding is a lil tricky.. U deff have to multi site.
Bovada super soft.. Revo super soft but dead. Merge ok traffic some times. Wpn slow.
The upside is .. USA sites, the games r very beatable.

If u do go the stars route.. Know that the games r super reggy.. Not uncommon for the $7s+ to have 4-5 winning regs each table.

Adding mtts will add to ur volume though.
