Let's say you were playing some HU spot.
Hero (OOP) has a made hand on the flop
Villain has a draw
100bb deep, no rake
Each player has exactly 50% equity
Both hands are face up
What's your play here?
If you had 1% more equity, do you shove?

Is there any money in the pot?
If yes then I have no problem jamming both spots hoping villain is risk-averse and finds a fold.

There's clearly no benefit to checking OOP against a logical opponent, unless you're going to check/fold, because IP gets to decide if the money goes in on the flop anyway if you check. For IP facing a check, it depends on the equity distribution for your hand across all turns. For example if the draw has 100% equity on 1/3 of turns and 25% equity on 2/3 of turns then the made hand can shove on good turns and end up winning 2/3 or the time, or at least hurting the draw's EV if stacks are short enough to price them into a call anyway. If you have the draw on the flop in this scenario you should clearly be shoving to avoid seeing a turn.
