I'm looking to learn poker more in-depth. I get the basics, I understand the rules. I can play and win fun house games. But I want to go from gambling to playing poker. I have no idea where to start. I just found this site but there is a lot to go through, can anyone suggest some good threads? Or YouTube channels? Books? Where do I start?

The way I first learned how to play was by watching these videos, playing small stake Sit n Go's online, and watching live at the bike (streaming show)

The learning curve for poker can be expensive, long, and difficult.

The "A-Ha" moments can come quick and often when starting out if you really devote yourself to it.

However, I'd recommend trying to treat it as a hobby / fun activity. You can still try to get good, study, and commit free time to it. Just DO NOT get into this game expecting monetary success. Few are able to do that, and those that do can easily get stuck HAVING to play.
