definitely dont min bet the flop either, i think i would have bet 800 on flop but as played shove after his reraise is good

Where's the variance? He will make a boat or quads 32%, this was just one of those times. So it was a bad beat, but it's not variance it's supposed to happen sometimes.

If I'm raising this in the small blind I'd make it 3-3.5, and probably bet 1/2-3/4 the pot on the flop. There's no point been so timid about trying to get the money in. If he has a good club he will call, so you want to get the money in before another club comes down and makes it awkward, and if he doesn't have a hand he isn't going to put any money in anyway.
